Cyprian Basing is a qualified Accountant and an Administrator by Profession. He is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), UK and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAG), Ghana. He also holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Ghana and an Mphil (Leadership) from the University of Professional Studies (UPSA). Mr. Basing has experience in Procurement and Investments having undergone the Stock Exchange and Securities Courses from the Ghana Stock Exchange. He is a licensed Pensions Trustee having been licensed by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA). Mr. Basing, until his appointment was the Director of Finance of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC), a post he held for ten (10) years having earlier acted for two and a half years. As Director of Finance, he saw to the successful implantation of the Ghana Integrated Financial Management system (GIFMIS) in GAEC. He also spearheaded the restructuring of the GAEC Superannuation Fund and the Review of the procurement processes at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission. He has experience in Corporate Strategic Planning. He has been involved in the development of GAEC Corporate Strategic Plan Documents since 2004. Mr. Basing has been a member of the Credit Union fraternity since the year 2000. He was the Manager of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission Employees Cooperative Credit Union (GAECCU) from the years 2000-2003. In 2006, he became a Board Member and the Secretary of the Board of GAEC Employees Credit Union. In that same year, he became a Board member of the Accra Chapter of CUA Ltd. and was subsequently elected the Member Secretary of the National Supervisory Committee of CUA Ltd. In 2008, Mr. Basing became the Board Chairman of the Accra Chapter of CUA and subsequently became the Assistant National Treasurer of CUA Ltd. In 2010 he was elected the National Chairman of CUA Ltd. Mr. Basing is currently the Board Chairman for Wutiiwihi Ltd, a Board Member of Incas Diagnostics, Savanna Glory Ltd., and Negotiated Benefit Trust (NBC) Ltd. Mr. Basing has extensive experience in Procurement and has consulted for a number of Institutions. He was a Member of the Tender Review Committee of the Ministry of Environment Science and Innovation. (MESTI) from 2010-2016. He has also been an External Assessor for a number of Institutions including the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Mr. Basing is married to Suzana Mwinyelle Tanye and has four daughters Tankyekaarah, Wutiiko, Wihimareba and Wihikankyuola. He loves reading, walking, and farming.
